Small Business Impact Grant Round 2

Small Business Impact Grant

The Small Business Impact Grant (SBIG) is a COVID-19 relief program for small businesses in Salt Lake County funded by the CARES Act. SLCo will award up to $40 million in grants through one-time payments of $500 to $35,000 to impacted businesses that apply.

Update to Grant Eligibility

As of July 28, 2020, the eligibility requirements for the Salt Lake County SBIG have been updated to include all industries, as well as businesses that received LESS THAN $35,000 in CARES Act funds.

Any small businesses in Salt Lake County meeting all other requirements at https://slco.org/covid-19/economy/grants should apply. If you were denied the grant in Round 1 based on industry or previously receiving COVID-19 aid, please re-apply.

Shop In Utah Grant

Shop In Utah Grant

The COVID-19 Impacted Businesses Grant Program, known as ‘Shop In Utah,’ is a grant program for businesses.

This $25 million initiative provides grants to businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Companies must offer a discount, coupon, or another offer with an estimated value to their customers of at least 50% of the grant amount to qualify for the program.

Because this grant is primarily for Utah’s small businesses, at least 75% of grant funds will go to Utah companies with 250 or fewer full-time employees.

The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), at the Legislature’s request, administers the program.
