  • Yes. Regardless of receipt of the renewal notice the business is responsible to maintain a valid City business license.

  • When a completed online application is submitted, a payment link will be sent to the email address provided on the application. Once all fees are paid the application will be forwarded to the Planning Department for review and approval. After receiving Plannings approval a checklist will be emailed outlining which departments must be contacted to inspect and approve your business location before a business license can be issued.

  • Yes. When your business license is issued it is issued to the address on your application, there moving to a new address void your business license. Moving to a new location will require you to submit a new application so new inspections & a new license can be issued.

  • If you are relocating your business out of Millcreek please complete our "Request to Close Business License Account" form. This form can be handed in at City Hall or emailed to Business License Administrator.

  • The City receives many complaints from neighbors of rental property and issues have also been observed by Unified Police and City Code Inspectors which, in turn, expends more city resources to enforce ordinances; therefore, the City is requiring that all rentals be registered for ease of finding the owner and requesting code compliance.

  • o Yes. If your zoning allows for two-family dwellings (duplexes) and you have a legal duplex and you rent one unit or both, a business license is required. 

    o No. If you have converted your basement or some other living space into a dwelling unit and are renting that space, and a secondary dwelling unit is not permitted per your zoning regulations, you may be out of compliance with city codes. You may not rent an illegal dwelling unit.

  • o One family – each person must be related by blood, marriage or adoption, and including up to 3 unrelated people; must have at least 2 off-street parking spaces (9’x18’) – Code 19.80.030 & 040. 

    o One to four unrelated persons living together; each person owning a motor vehicle must have a lawful off-street parking space (9’x18’) – Code 19.04.230 and 19.80.030.
