Firework Restrictions

The Fire Marshal for Unified Fire Authority (UFA) recommended that Millcreek continue to restrict the discharge of fireworks east of 900 East and west of 700 West in 2025. The Millcreek City Council has also included Scott Avenue Park and Sunnyvale Park as restricted areas in 2025. You can view UFA's Firework Restrictions Map below or on UFA's website. The Millcreek City Council is unanimous that the health, safety, and general welfare of our community, which we are charged to protect, require an exceptional continued restriction of fireworks.

The restrictions will be enforced by UFA firefighters and UPD officers working together, and fines for violating the restriction are substantial.  We urge everyone to abide by the restriction and not discharge fireworks in Millcreek in the red areas highlighted below.

To report firework concerns, please call Unified Police Department's non-emergency line:

Firework Restriction Zone Yard Sign

The city has created a Firework Restriction Zone yard sign that residents are free to print and place on their property if they live in a Firework Restriction Zone as indicated on the map above. The sign is sized at 24x18", the size of a standard yard sign, but it can be printed off in various sizes. The sign contains a QR code that when scanned, will lead to this page.

To print on a yard sign, we recommend downloading the image on a thumb drive and taking it to a local print shop.
