Neffs Improvement: Parking Lot Reconstruction & Emergency Facilities

Project Overview

Millcreek, in coordination with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), will initiate the complete reconstruction of the deteriorating asphalt parking lot, the construction of the helicopter pad, and the installation of a 16,000-gallon water well to support wildfire response efforts. 

What to Expect:

  • Construction activities will occur Monday–Friday (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
  • Increased noise, dust, and vibration
  • Construction vehicles, equipment, and traffic control devices in the area
  • Reduced parking access and NO PARKING along White Way
  • Intermittent parking closures to allow crews to remove the deteriorating asphalt and perform asphalt paving activitiesNeffs Canyon Parking Lot Design

Parking Restrictions

Visitors to Neffs Canyon should anticipate reduced access due to construction activity during the project's duration. During construction, we encourage recreational users to explore alternative trailhead options. If parking is full, please do not block driveways, intersections, fire hydrants, mailboxes, or trash bins. Parking along White Way is completely restricted. Access to the Neffs Canyon trail will remain open.
